A wood shop class in high school sparked my interest in woodturning at
an early age. After a “time out” to go to college, raise a family and
pursue a career as an investment counselor, I finally got back to
woodturning. The Glendale Woodturning Guild has helped re-kindle my
interest and improve my skills. In addition to seeing the finished
product, my rewards come from the artistic challenge, the beauty of the
grain, and aroma of the wood. I’ve enjoyed turning a wide variety of
pieces, including bowls, pens, bracelets, hats, boxes, and even a rocket
ship.
